FIDE Rapid rules will apply. This includes time penalties for illegal moves (the position immediately before the irregularity shall be reinstated. After the first completed illegal move by a player, the arbiter shall give two minutes extra time to his/her opponent; for the second completed illegal move by the same player the arbiter shall declare the game lost by this player).
Event takes place in a public place. Please look after your belongings. Parents should supervise juniors. If you are sick or have been in recent contact with someone with COVID please do not enter. We have tournaments on a regular basis.
Venue Rules: Please maintain the gangway to the bathroom clear. Respect all customers, not just other chess players. Only use the tables allocated inside on the right. Do not use tables at the front of the store or opposite the counter.
